Description

The KUKA 00-173-813 is a CP1616 2.1 PROFINET communication board for the PCI bus. Installed in the control PC, it connects the computer to the industrial network for process data exchange with PLCs and peripheral devices.

The CP1616 family supports PROFINET IO Controller and IO Device roles according to the software configuration. IO Controller operation manages I/O devices, while IO Device operation presents the PC’s data to a higher-level PROFINET controller.
